Jack OC and The Alien
A storyteller with a guitar and a musician behind a drumset: Jack OC and The Alien
Jack Otting-Crandall
Jack OC’s childhood was split between the dusty streets of Tempe, AZ and the work-driven family farm in rural Nebraska. Reflected in his songwriting and unfettered musical style, he was granted a unique perspective that “both sides of the fence grow hay.”
John Wenig
John Wenig (The Alien) is a lifelong musician from Phoenix, AZ. Starting his musical career in punk, grunge and indie rock bands, he never imagined he would play drums to a country song.
Although bearing seemingly polarizing artistry, the two contrasting brains joined forces in 2022 when they began playing their head-turning catalog of songs across the state of Arizona. Gaining friends and sit-in musical talents along the way, they put their work to record with producer Max Harms at The Garage with session players like Pete Posie, Taylor Raynor, David Lipkind, and Max Harms. Neither Jack OC nor The Alien know exactly why they play music, but the passion behind the performance and the emotion within the lyrics leads the listener to believe they must have something to get off their chest.
